English
Immersion Programmes
These programmes re-enact life in an English-speaking
community in which participants immerse themselves with the
aim of gaining confidence in their command of the target language.
The English Immersion Programmes have two main areas which
are developed during each event, and which are closely intertwined
in the finely designed plot of the programme.
Staff: Our Staff is made up exclusively by
native speakers, all of them university students and graduates
who join us through our International Exchange Programme.

• Social Area. It
deals with aspects of every-day life in an English-speaking
country: customs, banking, shopping, getting around, mealtime
situations, etc.
• Cultural Area. Participants immerse
themselves not only in the language, but also in the atmosphere
within which -and due to which- the target language is 'naturally'
used as a means of communication.
Participants take active part in the unfolding of the adventure.
They have left the classroom to explore the 'real world'.
They exchange money at the bank, buy and sell goods at the
shop, work as journalists or sports assistants. They also
go beyond every-day life and explore the roots of the cultures
of the English-speaking communities: they become knights in
King Arthur´s Medieval England, international spies
in Mission: Impossible, outlaws in Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest,
native Americans in a Pow Wow, mythological characters in
a Celtic endeavour, or suspects and detectives in a murder
game.
They play, explore, sweat, get dirty, compete, reach goals,
co-operate and discover the joy of learning. In brief, they
learn by doing, by lending themselves to the challenge of
self-education.

Duration: 3 to 15 days.
Venues: Estancias

in English by guides and experts who are native speakers of
the language.

Prom Trips are tailor made projects which
blend the English Immersion Programmes with a variety of cultural,
social, sporting and recreational challenges. It caters to
groups of students and schools in search of an alternative
End-Of-Term round-up trip.
The Prom Trips are designed following a careful assessment
of the group's needs, interests, ages, levels of proficiency
and budget. These trips are ideal for groups with an interest
in the English language and culture. Bilingual schools and
language schools have now a choice which blends fun, intensive
practice of the language, and involvement in first-hand cultural
challenges.
